JOB DESCRIPTION

●  Middle School Math Teacher

●  Main Teaching Subject(s):

●  Two of the following disciplines: Edexel IGCSE Math A / Math B / Further Pure Math

●  01 August 2022

●  Contract Duration: One year

 

As a middle school teacher, you'll need to:

●  prepare and deliver lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities

●  mark work, give appropriate feedback and maintain records of pupils' progress

and development

●  research new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge, and devise

and write new curriculum materials

●  prepare pupils for external examinations

●  manage pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and apply

appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour

●  undertake pastoral duties, such as taking on the role of homeroom teacher, and

supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties

●  communicate with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participate in

departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole-school training events· participate in and organise extracurricular activities, such as elective programmes,

outings, social activities, school concerts and sporting events

●  undergo regular observations and participate in regular in-service training as part

of continuing professional development (CPD).

●  lesson preparation and collaborative planning;

●  assessment of / for students’ learning;

●  class decoration

●  contribute your expertise in a committee

●  supervising students during night study

●  participate in external accreditation exercise;

●  participate in weekend student recruitment activities (At least one Saturday or

Sunday a month for not more than 8 weekends a year.);

●  participate in the schools assembly programs

●  other tasks assigned by the school during official work hours

 

Educational Qualification: 

●  At least a Bachelor degree in Math.

●  Professional Qualification  PGCE

●  Postgraduate Degree in Education or Related Teaching Subject

●  A teaching license recognized by home country’s education ministry

Experience and Training:

●  Familiar with IGCSE syllabus and IB MYP concept-based teaching methodology. IGCSE related trainings ,MYP related trainings

●  At least 3 years of teaching experience in the teaching subject applied for

●  Homeroom teacher experience

●  Track record of students’ academic results for IGCSE
