JOB DESCRIPTION

●  Music subject academic leader for G1-9 (bilingual)

Job Description:

1. To create Music Teaching Resources for G1-9 in Bilingual schools

1.1 To integrate resources and make the implementation plan, including  

academic standards, framework, Schemes of Work, teachers’ resources package etc.

1.2 To work with external advisor (Chinese National Curriculum experts) on curriculum research, comparison and adaption

1.3 To liaise and support the music teachers in Bilingual Schools on the implementation and update of Schemes of Work for different grades across G1-9

2. To manage teaching and learning resources in Chinese and English across Bilingual

Schools for G1-9 music

2.1 To create the bilingual resource bank, including teaching resources, textbooks,

lesson plans and Teachers’ Professional Development resources

2.2 To monitor and assess the use of the resource bank as well as the resource sharing

across schools

3. To offer and guide the Teachers’ Professional Development

3.1 To establish the regular collaboration among music coordinators/Head of

Departments in Bilingual Schools

4. To guide and regulate the music assessment in Bilingual Schools

5. To guide and support the music-related project and extra curriculum courses

6. To provide guidance on the transition from G7-9 to G10-12

Job Requirement

1. Bachelor of music or relevant subject

2. Minimum of 8 years of music subject teaching, with good knowledge of Chinese

National music Curriculum and bilingual music teaching experience favorable

3. Have the experience of the music coordinator or Head of music

4. Good cross-cultural communication competence

5. Have teacher training experience

6. Able to work under pressure
