•Social Sciences Teacher

• Fields of experience and education include: Humanities, Sociology , World civilization and culture

• Schedule: 40 hours a week (Monday to Friday) and some evenings, weekends or holidays may be required for special events or trips.Key Responsibilities

• Course construction: 12 hours instructional time, minimum 8 office hours for student meetings per week, and remaining hours are spent towards professional learning community meetings, planning and marking;

• Create engaging class experiences using flipped classrooms, discussion-based learning and project-based learning;

• Evaluate learning and track student growth, assisting with individual learning plans.

Collaboration support:

• Collaborate on unit and project planning;

• Contribute to the growth of the academy;

• Supervision of students on a year-long Individual Research Project (IRP);

• Chaperone week-long experiential learning trips for Experiential Learning Program (ELP);

• Collaborate with colleagues to develop dynamic, student-centered experiences that focus on skill development;

• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and faculty to personalize, support, and differentiate for individual students;

• Periodic but infrequent evening or weekend student activity supervision maybe required;

Requirements：

• Master’s degree or higher in education or subject area

• Minimum 2 years teaching experience

• Interest in developing innovative and student-centered curriculum
