· IB Homeroom Teachers

· ESL/EAL Teachers

· September/October 2019 Flexible start

· Approx 20 teaching periods a week

· 2 years contract

· 8:10-12:40, 2:10-5:40 Monday to Friday

· 25 students, 2-6 years old with Chinese

· Co-teacher and TA

· IB Homeroom Teacher

Responsible for the day-to-day management of the classroom together with the Chinese Homeroom

teacher and in line with the IB programs’ trans disciplinary philosophy, they also collaborate with other subject teachers to increase students’ English language acquisition.

• Manage, create, and deliver lessons based on a given IB framework

• Accompany students as a support teacher to specialist classes

• Effectively implement the IB curriculum and assessment criteria as set out in the IB Subject Guide

• Work collaboratively with other subject group members to develop common unit plans and

assessment strategies, share resources, etc

• Engage in dialogue with the parents and other members of the community

• Represent the school at events, open days, and workshops

• Attend staff meetings and mandatory IB certification/training workshops

Requirements:

• Native English speaker or non-natives from visa transferrable countries

• PGCE or a BA in Education, Linguistics, or Early Childhood Education preferred

• At least 1 years’ experience with a structured curriculum in a classroom setting

• Experience or familiarity with the IB program a plus

• A combination of qualifications, experience, and personality fit are considered in each candidate

Compensation and Benefits:

• 18,000 – 27,000rmb inclusive of housing allowance

• Lunch & dinner provided

• Full salaried Summer (1 month), Spring (1 month) on top of national

holidays
